A comforting classic! Our Rice-A-Roni® Chicken & Mushroom flavor blends tender rice and vermicelli with chicken broth, mushrooms and other natural flavors to create a hearty and family-pleasing side dish. Serve it alongside your favorite chicken recipes.

What You'll Need

  • 1 2/3 cups of water
  • 1/4 cups of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of margarine*

What You'll Do:

  • In a large skillet, combine rice-vermicelli mix and margarine or butter. Sauté over medium heat until vermicelli is golden brown, stirring frequently.
  • Slowly stir in water and Special Seasonings; bring to a boil.
  • Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
  • Stir in 1/4 cup milk.

High Altitude Directions:

Increase water to 2 2/3 cups.


*butter, or spread with no trans fat may be substituted
